Poet : Rani S Das

Rani S Das, is a passionate poet and educator from Kozhikode, Kerala. My love for teaching and poetry seamlessly intersects, inspiring young minds in the classroom and crafting thoughtful poetry that resonates with readers.
As a teacher, I’m committed to my role at St. George’s English Medium School, where I’m known for my empathetic approach and ability to encourage students to think beyond conventional boundaries.
Poetic Voice
Through my poetry, I draw inspiration from life’s subtle moments, nature’s beauty, and human emotions. My writing is characterized by simplicity, grace, and deep thought, capturing fleeting moments of peace, quiet strength in transitions, and the enduring presence of love and memory.
For me, poetry is a means of exploring the world, connecting with my innermost thoughts, and observing, reflecting, and expressing emotions that often go unnoticed.
Apart from my creative pursuits, I’m a dedicated mother and homemaker, balancing my professional and personal life with ease. I strive to instill values of discipline, creativity, and empathy in my family.
As the setting sun touches the surface of the sea,
The slanting rays give a warm orange tinge to the sky.
The pulse of the grey waves spreads over the sand like a wet blanket,
Slowly, the day says adieu.
The presence of sunshine lingers in the minds of town folk,
Vivid in the glitters of bright city lights, even in its absence!!
