Walking Tall

Poet : Bharat Thakur

Shrinking into inadequacy
is not our biggest fear
Although a sense of safety
it may well grant to appear
Our deepest fear would be
to own our greatest treasure
The reckoning of our power
well beyond any measure

A child of God we are
bursting with an energy divine
Well beyond limits and boundaries
of I me and mine
To be brilliant glorious resplendent
is our birthright
To walk through the darkness and
be held by the light

Each of us was meant to shine
just as children do
To unravel our tender wings
to a vast expansive blue
Not ever meant to crouch
we are not created to crawl
A myriad hues we carry
in the depths of our soul

Letting our soul blaze forth
in others we do inspire
The fluid flow of the waters
the brilliant spark of fire
Liberated from our fears
we walk with an innocence
Coming alive with the joy of
our own blossoming fragrance
